Harp Lessons Harp lessons are offered to beginning and intermediate students from ages 4 to adult. No previous musical training is necessary, and you do not have to know how to read music to begin taking lessons. Lessons are held in my home studio on South Ironwood in South Bend, IN. As a harp teacher, I structure lessons around the specific goals of each individual student. We will focus on technique and building a varied repertoire, and well as on music theory, music history, ear training, orchestral repertoire and ensemble performance. Public performances are encouraged, but not required. All students must have a harp at home on which they can practice. Pedal and lever harps can be rented or purchased from several locations in the Chicagoland area. Please see my harp information links for harp rental companies and retail outlets. In addition, the purchase of some music books will occasionally be required. This music may be ordered from Vanderbilt Music or Lyon and Healy.
Lessons are 45-minutes, held weekly, and are paid in advance.
45-minute lessons: $75 For short-term study, individually
priced lessons are available on a limited schedule. Please contact
me for details and pricing.
